Lowers 01.11.10

...and next time I try to not turn off the GoPro by accident: too bad cause it got better and better - but at least the beginning of this giant swell is on...

Most of the day today will see tiny surf at best along all shores, but a monster is on its way! A tiny pulse from the north-northwest may continue to offer 3-5 foot sets at the better breaks while Upper West shores only come in around 1-3 foot this morning. The incoming north-northwest swell will rise very quickly and dangerously, so please be aware and keep your eyes on the horizon. Surf should rapidly rise into the 10-15+ foot range by sunset and will keep rising through the night. The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Warning effective at 4pm this afternoon through 4pm Thursday.
